I'm back - watching the barn progress has been a blast, and I've been taking pictures at the end of every day that work was done. Had one day where the fellas were given the wrong thickness of smart-panel siding and had to wait til the next day before any could be gotten in. Thanks to 84 Lumber in Manassas for coming thru! Had some rain too, and a short day on Monday due to a heavy thunderstorm which then drizzled and dripped the rest of the evening, but yesterday they were back at it full force.
We've had 2 "Chamber of Commerce" days, as they call them, today and yesterday which has been great and their pace of work has been brisk. Tomorrow they tell me they're going to be ready to put the paint on before finishing the roof and doing the finish work (like stairs).
Here are the photos in succession:
Day 1 - the holes were all dug for the foundation piers set in concrete. At the end of the day, just about dark, 2 foxes came out of the woods and were playing in the holes... they were chasing each other around the piles of dirt and holes, looked like they were having lots of fun.

If you look close, you can see the foxes playing...

Next day - My husband coined the term "Dance Floor" for this stage... foundation done and all ready for walls!

Walls! This was such an exciting sight!

This was the 'rain out' afternoon, just couldn't get very far with the rotten weather :(
End of the day yesterday. The day was beautiful, and it was almost dark when I took this. Great progress!
Will post more as it occurs!
